Adventure Log #5 (Hunt for the Lost PAGES VOL. 2)
WE DID IT! We were able to fund the rest of our expedition into the deep North. Sadly though, our good fortune ended there. After a treacherous slog through this inhospitable terrain, we eventually broke away from the caravan and followed our 'guide' Thoridin, to the North West. After a half days journey we found ourselves at the mouth of the cavern nearly broken and half-frozen. Thoridin himself succumbed to frostbite and reluctantly stayed behind to build a fire for our return. A quick rummage through his own pack produced a miniature map that would easily navigate us through the darkness. So without delay, our travelling band crossed into the dark frigid maw and began our exploration of the cave.
When the first trap was sprung (and claimed the lives of several friends) I blamed our poor navigational sense. It wasn't until the third trap, however, that I realized we had been deceived. Thoridin "the Thawed" turned out to be more of Thoridin the "Not So Trust Worthy". After some reorientation, halfling luck and deft skills from our rogue, we were able to push our way to the end of the cavern. Eventually, we found the inevitable emptied treasure box AND a new resolve to hunt Thoridin until our blood lust was satiated. We gathered our belongings and headed back to Thoridin.
It came to no shock that when we exited, we weren't the only ones that had a grievance with Thoridin. What was shocking, however, was that the Yeti we spotted early was indeed not frozen and wanted to really "talk things out with him". We retreated back into the cave to let them discuss their issues.
One minute and a thousand screams later, we exited the cave to greet the many pieces of Thoridin. Looks like the Yeti didn't leave much for us to be upset about. We took to looting his things and would you believe it, he had the lost pages on him the entire time. It turns out Thoridin had been using these chilled traps to get rid of adventurers so he could loot their bodies. I guess the North has its own ways of dealing with justice.
For now, I'm off to go find a warm place to rest this bone chilled body.

That was a big push but we somehow did it! We're super excited to get Lost Pages Vol. 2 into the book! Yarg's Lost Pages Vol. 2 are an additional set of traps/puzzles that will focus on chilly and frozen contraptions. These lost pages will be sure to make your players shiver in their pantaloons and have their teeth chattering with frigid fear! Thanks to your efforts we were able to pay our way North and join the caravan. We have not yet found the full amount to pay for Thordin, but I'm sure with some hustling we can seek out some more friends to join. We're only 500gp away from hiring Thordin and getting us one step closer to these lost pages!
Did I mention things are starting to get pretty cold on our journey North? We've already lost several members to the elements and I could have sworn we just passed a frozen Yeti... yes ... a frozen Yeti ... which doesn't even make sense. It appears we're headed in the right direction.

We are once again on the hunt for more of Yarg's Lost pages! Rumour has it, that these lost pages can be found in the far North where Yarg was in search of Chilling Challenges. A guide by the name of Thordin the Thawed has promised us safe passage to a remote icy cavern that supposedly houses these lost articles. For 3000 gold pieces, he has promised us passage with his caravan to the North. For another 2000 gold pieces, he will personally take us to the cave himself. He even promises a minimal loss of life, which is better than we usually get.
Let's see if we can find more adventurers to join our journey and help us get the funds we need for our latest expedition! Go forth and spread the word to your communities that we are asking for more to join our cause! For now, bundle up, it's about to get cold.

THE LOST MAPS HAVE BEEN UNCOVERED!!
Adventurer Log #3 (Hunt for the Lost Maps Cont.)
We have done it, my friends! You were able to find enough adventurers to join our cause and we were able to secure enough loot to bribe the merchant! It was a tough haggle, but after some time he gave up the location to the dungeon! I don't know why we didn't think there would be devious traps, but it goes without saying that we lost several friends along the way! Thus, is the adventuring life I suppose. The few of us who escaped, have recovered the lost pages and their secrets within! Yarg it seems has outdone himself yet again! He really knew how to document some of the best traps around!
It appears that after this dungeon, Yarg headed to the frozen tundras of the North! They say, he was in search of frost covered dungeons and the bone-chilling loot within. Perhaps, the rumours are true and there are more lost pages and maps to be found!
For now, let us drink to the fallen and revel in our treasures found!

WE DID IT! 50K STRETCH GOAL Unlocked!
It was a huge push, but we did it!! Yarg's Lost Maps are an additional set of maps that will accompany even more of the puzzles & traps in the book! Each map will have both regular and triggered versions, like the previous ones before that. These maps chronicle the area's where these traps were discovered and should add an extra dimension to your encounters!
We can't wait to get started on these! Thanks to everyone who has been sharing and pushing it out to other communities!

We've only got 4k left before we can finally bribe this merchant and discover the secret location of this dungeon that holds the maps!
