Mini Update: Smoke Tests

Backerkit Smoke Tests: Today and Tomorrow

If you're one of a select group of backers you may be receiving our smoke test today or tomorrow. 

What is a Smoke Test?

The 'smoke test' is a small group of surveys that will be sent out to 5% of our backers. This will help us find any issues/errors before the surveys go out to the entire group. IF everything goes smoothly, we'll send out the rest of the surveys. IF everything doesn't go smoothly, we'll solve any issues we find, then we'll send out the remainder of the surveys.

Thank you to the 'smoke test' group that will be completing them! This really helps things go more smoothly on our end.

For everyone else, we'll be sending out a more 'project focused' update shortly.

New Year. New Traps.

General Update 

Hello Northerners! Just wanted to take a moment to update everyone on the project and how things are coming along. Needless to say, we've been obsessively working away at this book all through the winter break and into the new year! We've been knee-deep in puzzles and traps and things are going great! As mentioned in a previous update the puzzles and traps are in various stages of development, but I'm happy to say that we've almost finished drafting all the 'stretch goal' ones now as well! 

Quality Assurance

To ensure we've done our due diligence, we've also inserted a team of 3rd party QA specialists we hope are going to smooth out any potential issues. This means the process is a little slower than expected, but it should ensure a much cleaner final product by the end.
 

Yarg's Death Pool Tier 

Everyone who signed up for the 'Death Pool Tier' should be receiving an email in the next couple of days from one of our team members. You will receive instructions on how to give us your info or any other details that we require. If you don't receive an email, please check your junk mail first and if there is still nothing,  please email us at [email protected]. We'll get back to you as soon as we can and send you in the right direction! We're looking forward to killing your character off!

 PLEDGE MANAGER / ADD-ONS / BACKER SURVEYS

We're still in the process of setting up our Backerkit pledge management page. It's taken a little bit longer than we wanted to, but we're pretty close to rounding the corner on finishing it. This will accomplish a couple of important things people have been asking for, such as:
 

•  Late Pledges: For those who missed the party.
•  Add Ons: Individual additions for (Digital Map Packs, Deck of Cards, JigSaw Puzzle Trap, etc.)
•  Adjust Pledges: For backers who have been asking to increase their tier level.

A CAMPAIGN ENDS. A NEW QUEST BEGINS.

100K PLEDGED! 2293 Backers! 4 Stretch Goals Unlocked!

We are floored by the outpouring of support for our project! We already wrote it in yesterday's update, but THANK YOU again to everyone who made this happen and to everyone who gave us that big final push! Working on this project is a dream come true for us and we can't wait to get this project in your hands!

NO REST FOR THE WICKED

Just because we finished our campaign yesterday, doesn't mean we're slowing down anytime soon! Most of the traps/puzzles have been roughed out and are in different stages of development at the moment(from rough outlines to final editing). We're also starting to tackle all of the UNLOCKED STRETCH GOALS we gathered along the way! We're excited to sink our teeth into these and we've got some fun ideas hidden up our sleeves. (I'll do another update tomorrow that focuses just on the final Stretch goal being hit.) 

 PLEDGE MANAGER / ADD-ONS / BACKER SURVEYS

ADD-ONS

We are using Backerkit for our pledge manager. This will allow us to do several things, one of which is allowing people to do Add-ons. Many backers have come forward indicating they wanted to add more things to their pledge, so we're working on getting it up and running ASAP! Stay Tuned.

LATE PLEDGES

Another great feature of the Backerkit system is being able to facilitate Late Pledges. Many people indicated that they missed the boat, so we're happy to announce we should be able to take their pledges very shortly.

BACKER SURVEYS

Of course, all of this ends with sending out the backer surveys so that you can give us your proper information and confirm your pledges. We want to let people have a chance to get in some late pledges while we're still working on the book though. Once we're ready, we'll be locking in your information, so we can start shipping as soon as possible!

This is going to be a very short update, but we just wanted to THANK EVERYONE (ALL 2,293 of you) who have taken the time to back us!! We can't wait to get Yarg's Guide to Puzzles & Traps in your hands and at your table!! We're so happy we hit the 3rd Stretch goal and can give you even more awesome content!
